The material:

We build our shoji from selected high-quality softwoods: Märkische pine, silver fir and spruce from the Allgäu. We select the best wood for our shoji ourselves at the sawmills: Straight, slow-grown and with a fine striped grain.

The craft:

traditionally constructed, built with a great deal of craftsmanship and care: We know and use centuries-old craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology. All corner joints of the shoji are mortise-and-tenoned, the frames are overlapped. Everything is stable, durable and fits perfectly.

The surfaces

Our shoji surfaces are finished (plaster-planed). This is the traditional and most natural surface - much smoother than sanded, dust and dirt repellent.

MADOCA tear-resistant shoji paper or natural fiber shoji paper

The technology:

Our Shoji are prepared ready for installation. The lower frame timber is pre-drilled to accommodate the sliding door rollers (accessories, order separately). The upper frame timber fits exactly into the upper guide profiles (accessories, order separately)
